The Official Training Track for Puerto Rico’s Competition Mathletes
42 Points is a specialized competition training program specifically designed for high-performing 8th–12th graders across Puerto Rico. Directed by the island’s only veteran international coach with 8 years of proven IMO and IBERO medalist placements, our small online cohorts serve as the premier local curriculum for students preparing for the official Team Selection Tests (TST).
Our weekly 1.5-hour online live interactive sessions bypass standard school memorization to focus deeply on advanced logical proofs and competitive problem-solving strategies. We keep our online classes strictly limited to 8–10 students to ensure direct, uncompromised coaching and analysis. Because this curriculum is tailored to students with an advanced mathematical baseline, entry into our active semester is by invitation only.

Our Coach
Dr. Roman Kvasov, Ph.D., is a mathematician, former Math Olympian, and highly experienced coach with over 20 years of expertise in preparing students for prestigious mathematics competitions, including the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), the United States of America Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO), the Ibero-American Mathematical Olympiad (IbMO), and the Central American and Caribbean Mathematical Olympiad (OMCC). He has also served as a tutor of the Puerto Rico national team for the OMCC (2010) and IbMO (2012). Dr. Kvasov holds a Ph.D. in Scientific Computing and an M.S. in Applied Mathematics. He is currently a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Puerto Rico, where he continues to inspire and mentor the next generation of mathematical talent.
